i'm not a pro at it and still adjusting to it.. right now i am using chicken legs, chicken liver, beef heart, tripe, carrots, salmon omega3 oil from petsmart, deer meat, jack mackerel, and so on. i dont really measure any of it.. its mostly eyeing the amount and guess and check.. as of right now i have it down to where it meets my dogs needs. and he is healthier then ever.. i feed some greens here and there as snacks.. also eggs mix.. i switch the meats and recipt here and there..

best way is to ask members on here that have been doing it for awhile now or google it.. thats how i learned and started.. sorry i'm not much help.. u can search barf diet, raw diet.. etc.. the old forums should show up..

Bring them to the vet and get a skin scrape. They might not be allergic to anything and may have mange.

My male is allergic to about everything too... especially food. He is allergic to brewers yeast (which about all dog food has), wheat, corn and patato. To learn this I had to get an allergy test on him which cost if I remember around the $300-$400 range.
I switched him to Nutro's Lamb meal and rice. Yeast free and wheat freen and it doesn't have any of that other stuff. Once the switch was made to that food it took about 30-45 days to see improvement in his allergies.
Also, every once in a while he'll get into some food that he's not suppose to eat. Like if my kids leave candy on the table he'll snatch it up.. than in about 2 hours he would break up in hives all over. So I'll give him some Benadryl and that works really well... it is a quick fix to help with allergies..

Since both of your dogs are going through the same problems. It's highly likely that it's mange or environmental allergy. The only way to know for sure is having an allergy test done. Or you can figure it out yourself by process of elimination which takes too much time and money. Have you been to the vet?

wow! you are becoming very wise Luch. I would also recomend putting your dogs on frontline or advantage, because they can be allergic to fleas aswell.

fleas
food
and enviorment

top three allergies a dog can have and in any combination of any two or all three.
