| I thought there was a post for this already but couldn't find it. So here is a new one. Pups heal best when they are very young. A good vet will do ears as early as 8 weeks and usually won't do pups over 14 weeks. Give your pup a good bath before taking it to the vet for the crop, you should not bath your pup after cropping. ( wait till the ears heal) Clean the wounds twice a day with hydrogen peroxide. This is done to prevent scabbing, scabbing causes scars. DO NOT pull scabs off! Use the peroxide to sloth off any scabs. Keep pups ear canals clean. If you need to use something to help clean the ear only use hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip or cotton ball. |

| My vet advised us to use Polysporin on the cut for two weeks. Also if you need to tape a floppy crop use a cut up Dr. Scholls with first aid tape. It is excellent for holding the shape. I've done the aftercare on 5 crops now and they all turned out great. |
