 Uh oh...She's Preggo so i went over to my girlfriends today to check on karma (lives at my girls for the moment). I havent seen her in a week, been busy. Anyway, the last time i saw her i gave up hope on her being pregnant(5 week mark), but after seeing her today...shes def pregnant (6 week mark). Looks like shes carrying quite a few little buggers in there. It's kind of cute....sits down and her belly hits the ground lol. She apparently didnt get the memo that she was pregnant though, still as active as ever! I was trying to convey to her the concept of immaculate conception...I dont think she fully grasped the idea lol. Anyway I'm super excited and figured I'd let CB know whats up. Pups are due to drop dec 2-dec 6. Wish me luck and hopefully I'll have some superb specimens available to some good homes at fare prices soon.  |

| also...whelping box is being built this week, any breeders out there have any suggestions on what to use to cover the floor with? Newspaper, towels, blankets...etc? Anyone ever use the heating pads for the boxes also? if so how do they work? or is it safer to just use a heat lamp to avoid some crispy critters? |

Please use a heat lamp or heat a small room. We use our foyer (no one ever comes to the front door ) we drape a sheet to keep the warmth in! All the text books say don't lay 'em on a heating pad, heat the area. As they get able to crawl you can put in a hot water bottle, or my favorite is a flannel bag of heated uncooked rice in a gallon plastic bag. I prefer these pads called chucks, grab'em up & wash'em. Get enough (6-10 ) and you only have to wash'em once a day to keep the little buggers clean! They will leave a smaller carbon footprint than the disposables!
